An Appeal to All Citizens: Celebrate Diwali with Compassion — Say No to Firecrackers
As the festival of lights approaches, let us remember that true celebration lies in spreading happiness, not fear. Every year, thousands of innocent animals — pets, strays, birds, and wildlife — suffer silently due to the deafening noise and pollution caused by firecrackers.
The loud sounds terrify animals, causing them to tremble, run away from their shelters, and even injure themselves in panic. Birds lose their way, pets refuse to eat or sleep, and many animals experience lasting trauma. The smoke and chemicals released also pollute our environment, affecting both human and animal health.
This festive season, let us light diyas of kindness and compassion. Let’s make our homes bright, our hearts warm, and our surroundings peaceful.
🌿 Let your celebration bring joy — not fear.
🐾 Be their voice. Say no to firecrackers.
✨ Celebrate with light, love, and responsibility.
Together, we can make this Diwali truly divine — safe for all beings who share our planet.
